In January 2008 WFMH convened an International Experts Forum on the Mental Health Consequences of HIV/AIDS in Cape Town, South Africa. The meeting involved key leaders from within Africa and further afield, who reviewed current knowledge and helped to formulate the principles and objectives of the Initiative.
